Notes

Williamson placed this species in Sect. Boryangraecum, close to A. sacciferum.Vegetatively it resembles A. stolzii in the more or less elongated stem and in the way the inflorescences arise along the stem in fascicles (inflorescences arise from the same place in successive years, with peduncle bases persisting to form a cluster).More collections of A. geniculatum are needed.
